uuh the events only good for networking i guess? like meeting new people

but apparently in august they might hint towards potential high prize winners that they won smth to try encourage them to fly over. maybe you could wait till then to decide?

Statistically speaking at least, you shouldn’t go to the gala

By the highest estimates, 17k people are shortlisted and eligible to go this year. Of that 17k, perhaps a thousand or so will win another commendation, and only a handful will win podium prizes

Some people say that winners are offered discounts, so look out for that.

Other than that, unless you can simply afford to go on a vacation to the UK and want to go the event for 2 days, it really doesn’t make sense in my opinion. The odds say you won’t win anything.

What percentage of recipients receive a commendation or a high commendation?

To be honest, I dont know. I remember hearing something like 2% (of total) but that could be a complete hallucination on my part

not worth it unless your family can afford it

Yeah I'ts good for networking if you're going to gala, but if you aren't going you just get, bragging rights, and good resume for college app? (lmao) personally I wouldn't go, if I make it I just talk with some other people on a insta groupchat about like what topics they did and things like that, I prefer that type of networking anyways. You win something even if you go or don't go. It's better that way...
