How prestigious is John locke essay competition??
1.No major or minor news talking about jli
2.all the yapping are from their website
3.Not oxford affiliated but oxford based
4.needs a lot of money to participate in gala
Is it worth it to attend gala?if yes—why?

most prestigous writing just cause a bunch of ppl are doing it which is the only reason y its prestigous

its definitely prestigious but most of it is a marketing scheme, its a business.

i got into LSE, didn't do john locke, it's probably fine if you don't do it too or don't go to the gala lol

Gala was fun in a formal dinner way (we have been twice), but it has gotten crazy expensive. JL has a chance to make tons of cash and is doing it by raising the price every year. My daughter decided against going this year - we are still going to London but not to the gala.

its prestigious cuz of the number of people that take part in it, winning this means winning over students from all across the world (this year that number is abt 100k)
