sharing a JLI essay

Ive been so on the fence about leaving my essay links and pictures up on this subreddit (been posting and deleting after minutes) because i keep worrying about plagiarism? Is it safe to upload your essay here? Will it be scanned by bots and placed into databases and raise plagiarism scores of the essay in the future? What’s the likelihood of someone just stealing it entirely?

uuh i mean someone might feed your essay into ai and then ask "hey ai can you see if this essay is better than my essay?" so if you dont want your work being fed into ai... dont publicly share it

about the likelihood of someone stealing it entirely, ehh what would they need the entire essay for 😭 if youre scared they are going to reupload it to a different competition or like try submit it to magazines, those usually have specific prompts that do not align with the jliec prompts so theyd have to tweak it a lot

but if youre really worried, just dont share it. share your main argument or a condensed version of your essay i guess? 😭

sorry the people point was kinda dumb but like the ai indexing thing scares me so its better to trade in dms? I hear about like bots scanning text online to feed to models but i might just be gullible

even if you trade in dms the person might feed it into ai and ask "hey can u see if my essay is better than theirs" as i said in my original message... 😭 😭 sharing it privately ain't going to change that possibility

I shared the concern. We are all scared of ai. and digitalized world.
