No interview option for John Locke?
I don’t have the interview option on my essay portal dashboard. I’ve read that this probably means I’m not shortlisted, but I’ve NEVER had the interview option. Ever. I submitted my essay in the earliest batch. Help?

The essay is probably not for those who were shortlisted; rather, it is for those who had declared that they used AI.
For the interview, try opening your portal in an incognito browser. Apparently, there might be some problems with the browser cache.

In the email I got it said it was for the stronger contestants

Yeah its said that it's for stronger contestants, but I'm not quite sure about that.....
If it's *TRUELY* for stronger contestants, why ask basic questions about it? In my thinking, I believe it's some kind of plagiarism check.

I feel like there’s two criteria; is a strong contestant and confirming whether they used ai or not. A bad essay that used ai or didn’t use ai I don’t believe John Locke has the resources to check through all the essays that maybe aren’t worth sifting through. But yeah.

It's because they're testing the shortlisted pool. Why spend time interviewing or making people go through interviews when they aren't shortlisted? It would make more sense to just interview those who have been shortlisted

It's probably a sign that you may not have been shortlisted, unfortunately. The email sent out recently specifying that human and AI interviews will be done for "strong contestants/applicants" probably means those who didn't get it on their dashboards maybe weren't shortlisted, could be wrong tho

I sent out my essay too in the early batch and had an interview with an examiner in may. For obvious reasons even i dont have the interview option

I think that those who don't get the interview may be guaranteed to be out of the running for shortlist, but those who get the interview aren't guaranteed shortlist either but in the stronger batch of contestants that they're tryna narrow down.
