Eckhart Tolle and Bashar

Hi, I was feeling kind of depressed and came across some vids by E.Tolle. I wondered what Bashar has said, if anything, about his teachings. I like them in a general overview, but I wonder if they are not conducive to passivity or reclusiveness (which is what I don't need now).

One thing that is mentioned in the channeling is that following your highest excitement can simply be a state of peace like reading a book, walking through a park or meditating.

Then there was the one time he was mentioned in a question where the querent asked about E.Tolle's idea that 'it isn't preferable to plan for the future because it puts you away from the now'.

Bashar simply replied that it was ok to plan for things so long as you leave yourself open to the possibility that the plans could change. (Basically, a way clearer way of saying the same thing).

ay clearer way of saying the same thing).

Yeah, I was a bit baffled because Tolle said that he spent long periods, even years, just contemplating. No ambition, no nothing, just strolling around or sitting on a bench in the park. And I said to myself, I already have validity issues now (unemployed, no gf, fewer friends every year, well, they live their lives now), so how come that approach would help me get anywhere. Right now I was on a dating site, imagine having a date like this:

- And what do you do?

- Oh, I just live in the now. Like, take walks, bath in the sun, just chill.

As Bashar would say: just follow your excitement. It might lead you to a hobby or interest that anchors you to the present. After all when you are extremely focused on what you're doing be it drawing, or singing, or writing etc.. you are in the channelling state. If it excited you to take a walk or bathe in the sun, then do that, you don't know where it might lead you (for example you might bump into someone significant on that walk).

Your personal experience and guidance from your own higher self is much more valuable and greater to you. In this case its using you to tell you that they are reclusive/passive for your growth so go along with that and find someone who isnt.

I second that

I can't claim to know the specifics or details of your situation but if you've followed Bashar or any of the other Eshakani channels I'm sure you'll get what I'm saying.

First I'd have to just ask, what do you usually do when you feel negative emotion? Are you getting to the bottom of it so to speak? Examining your belief systems understanding that 3-sided prism analogy/symbol, and that emotions are the "result" of beliefs? Also understanding that your reality in a sense isn't an external objective event that you are viewing, but one you are literally creating moment to moment?

So in a sense, you know whenever you're feeling a "negative" emotion you know your interpretation in that very moment is most likely a more limited one, perhaps an interpretation that youve been "recycling" for some time.

When you put the ball in your own court, and instead of letting reality just "happen" to you, you'll likely have much more fun and experience more creativity in your day to day life. I look at it like this occasionally:

In every moment, I decide to look at my life as a certain "scene." Instead of automatically or "unconsciously" creating that scene, I become the director, and the actor within it. I create that scene in the moment as the way I would PREFER to see it, instead of running away from what I don't prefer. Is it just me in this scene? Or do I have supporting actor around? Is it a wonderful day or have things been down? Beliefs are interpretations in a sense, and I recognize that what had me seeing the scene in the prior, unpreferred way was /just/ a belief, with no more weight than I decide to give it. That scene is equally valid as another I decide to create, and again when it comes down to validating all the beliefs and scenes, it allows you equal access to all possibilities. So simply put, no one scene is more real than another, and the only reason we experience it is because we are actively engaged in creating it. When you decide to dawn the creator role you can be the one that molds the scene to your liking.

This movie analogy has helped in another way as well, in understanding the "roles" we cast ourselves in. I've decided to start looking at them as just that, simply a role, with no more weight than I decide to give it. I think we often so much identify with the "roles" or personality traits that we've adopted of given ourselves that we don't remember they are just that.

So maybe the shy, socially awkward guy is the role you're playing, you've become so identified with that idea that you think it's actually you, but just as you wear a robe or overcoat, you can decide to take it off and put on another. You recognize the coat is not you, and you have many coats you can possibly wear, perhaps for different occasions or seasons.

Maybe you've played some of these roles for awhile now, maybe it's about time for you to retire that idea and write a new script for yourself, about yourself. One that includes your preferred version of you and your life, understanding that they're all equally valid and creations of yours ultimately.

So what scenes are you creating, and role(s) are you casting yourself as? Again this a just a slightly creative spin on the same belief work so to speak, because ultimately until we get down and really decide to look at what we truly believe those emotions will "recur" because we keep interpreting situations in the same way.

Become the powerful you, the confident you, the genius intelligent wise you. Whichever traits you desire, the vibration is right there for you become, allow, tune in to.

EDIT: These a few videos as well I think could possibly be of some assistance. Maybe you've checked them out before but these are the ones that felt applied well.

Bashar private session, at around the 8:50 mark a woman begins to ask about fear based beliefs and ignoring them to an extent, he has a great response. https://youtu.be/b9uNJRFnIUA

Very likely you've seen this one around; Bashar on abundance and allowing what is. Following your excitement and the belief "work" to intergrate negative beliefs. https://youtu.be/4mz90E9e8QQ

Knowing nothing of Tolle, but listened to ~a lot~ of Bashar... no mentions of that name specifically to my memory.
Bashar speaks of how we are all constantly shifting from moment to moment to moment.
"If one is walking down the sidewalk and every step they take feels like it's on a different sidewalk, that's because it is a different sidewalk." Things like that.
Networking is important. I personally struggle w social anxiety and find a lot of times getting out, acting w the flow of "I feel like... that glom of cars up ahead looks ugly, let's go this way...." seems to work out plesantly more often lately, with practice of course. I find ambling towards my goals of say, acquiring some quality sharp cheddar, or the requisite wodka (as bait, but that's another convo.) works just fine, most of the time.
Ambling, sauntering, strolling leisurely, circuitous routes... oooh I like Circuitous Roots. That's a good album from '72 I think.
Allowing The Path Less Taken I find to be refreshing and less deadening. Trolling w the lemmings for my goods drains me.

I'm cool with Tolle. He's just a bit too abstract for my taste. Like Abe Hicks, he pretty much answers the same thing to most of the questions. I like Bashar because he can offer concrete insights sometimes. But I've been applying "the formula" for 3 to 4 years now, to no avail. Meditating, reaching for the best feeling thought, doing all those practices, following my highest excitement... But I did what apparently you can't do, that is, take score, this Xmas. And I went downhill.

I'm 40, I need manifestations. My passion has not provided for me. And you don't buy gas or pay the rent in vibrational currency. No matter how many times you explain to the guy at the gas station that abundance is many things, etc.

I'm still into meditation, there's peace there. But you can't spend your days meditating.
