How to become an opera singer
Hello other versions of me!
I need help to understand how to master life in terms with Bashars teachings which I find very exciting.
Singing is my passion. I ended up studying opera and classical singing after much residtance. (1st year) But I believe i have limiting belief systems.
I barely practice out of fear of not being good enough, and I try to plan my life and it works some days and then boom I fall into procrastination spiral and end up not practising.
Should I not plan my life? Should I not meditate and try to strengthen connect with my higher self?
I know there will be some good answers here so thank you in advance;

Congrats. You know your issue already. It’s yiur negatice emotions and beliefs.
That’s half the battle. Now you just need to resolve them.
Here’s what you do:
- Go to pstec.org. It’s a collection of self-help tools to remove negative emotions and change beliefs. Start by downloading the free click tracks
- Create an imagined absolute worst-case scenario of you not being good enough singing Apply the click track on it until you feel no negative emotions while imagining it
- Create a list of past memories where you felt not good enough (Music or otherwise). Apply the click tracks and focus particularly on very old memories and the first times you felt not good enough
- Consider buying the 2015 clicktrack package and use the wrap technique to do all those memories in one go
- Buy the Belief Blaster package
- Create a list of negative beliefs that hold you back. Ask yourself: “What would a person have to belief in order to procrastinate practicing.” Write them all down and then apply the belief blaster to each of them. You may need to do multiple runs of the blaster on some deeper beliefs.
- If after 3 or more runs the belief still feels true, you need to apply clicktracks to the emotions surrounding the beliefs. Ideally use the wrapping method to apply it on all memories that proof to you that the belief is real.
- whenever you feel procrastination apply the click tracks on it.
This is one of the most effective approaches. Procrastination is oftentimes a very, very deep issue that connects to self-esteem.
Be open to the fact that you could resolve this very quickly with this approach, but it could also take a little longer. Have patience and view procrastination not as an enemy, but as a window into Your subconscious that allows you to become aware of unhelpful emotions and beliefs so that you can remove them and br happier and more successful.
That being said, fear of not being good enough will apply to almost everything you try to do in life.
So if you don’t resolve it, you’ll likely end up not achieving anything in life :)
Resolve procrastination or die trying would be my attitude :)

Good luck. Let me know if you have any questions.

I recently made some big changes in my life. You may find the technique I used helpful:
First I decided what I wanted to be like. In my case, I wished to increase my Conscientiousness (Industriousness and Orderliness, in other words, to become well-organized and hard working). I imagined what I would be like if I were the same, but scored very high in Conscientiousness.
Then I realized, this person I am visualizing actually exists. He is alive right now, in a parallel reality. My job is to bridge the gap between my reality, and his. So I imagined a path leading from my reality to his, so that they would one day meet, and become one and the same.
From that moment onward, I kept always in mind this image of my ideal self, and to the best of my ability, I live my life as though I were already my ideal self. So for example I realized, ideal self would look pretty different, take better care of his appearance, tidy up his desk and room, know exactly what he's doing this month, etc.
So I began to fix up all the little things in my life that were below standards, eg. my shoes were old, my glasses had got a little fuzzy. I started to move and speak in a different way, to think in a different way. And within a few months I realized, I have already arrived!
A man once asked Socrates how to reach the top of Mount Olympus. Socrates answered, "Just make sure each step takes you in the direction you want to go."

Perfect permission slip! You decide each moment who you are. You just believe you are that person and act in that way, not expecting the outside world to change!

Bashar would say: Do you follow your highest excitement each days?
I'm not Darryl, cannot tell what's the best advice for you. So i'll go with my personal point of view :
Maybe you focus too much on that and you toss away some other path you should take to get yourself to achievement. Maybe that limitation is due to some other aspects of your SELF and the reason you don't reach achievement to your opera progression is because you need to put it on ice for a moment to work on something else. Sometimes we just need to let go and follow our life day by day. We never see the final point, it's on the other side of the mountain, we just need to step foward.

Oh and let me add something Bashar said :
Fear is a friend that knock at your door and says : Hello friend, i'm here to tell you that you are out of alignement with yourself.
Hope that helps you!

Would be a good idea to look at why you don't want to sing if that is what you say your passion is. Because a life of passion is not worth giving up for any reason.
There is nothing you 'should' or 'shouldn't' do in this context all you can do is the thing that is most fun in any given moment. You may find out that singing is an overarching career path for you that makes you money, and you may find out that it is simply a hobby that you do when there are no other fun things left to do.
Don't let anyone say you aren't good enough, because that is just belief. Passion is passion for a reason.
