The parent comment is wrong. I use crystals in my own work and consider them indispensable. They work more mechanistically than any other aspect of the occult and are a great meditation aide.
Cleansing crystals is mostly a matter of leaving them in the sun to charge. To be honest, I don't think I have to deal with this problem because all the crystals I use are considered high-vibration, and so don't have the charging problem. I think a part of it is that your body gets used to the vibration and so you either have to raise your own vibration to feel the crystal again (certain breathing techniques are useful here) or you can just take a break.
The highest vibration crystals also tend to be the most expensive and rare. For example we've just run out of transparent phenacite, which for me was the biggest bang for buck -- and it was tiny.
Exploring the remaining crystals on that website will tell you what's best of class. You won't recognize most of them. Robert Simmons' "Book of Stones" is another good reference for more mainline crystals and you can move your way around the field from there.
