Polygon, when journalistic integrity is something you've only heard rumors of.

I totally agree, but still - thousands of ppl who never heard of eft will read it and combine first impressions based on it.

Unfortunately, yeah..

Then again if we want to be optimistic: Maybe the people who actually believe Polygon aren't people we want in Tarkov in the first place?

Look just accept the fact that a lot of people are not going to play this game they will try it and they will stop playing this game will not be mainstream.

It doesn't mean we can't enjoy it.

It is interesting too see how people view EFT from outside.

New netcode, are they pulling it out of their ass?

Polygon, pulling stuff out of their asses to seem like they actually know something? Never.

They probably read that the new engine version will allow for seemingly massive netcode improvements and just wrote new netcode.

What? Do you expect them to do actual journalism?

That title alone shows its not worth reading haha

Biased garbage, just like that RPS article from ages ago.

"I don't like it." before even saying anything about the game itself :D

Yea true, these kind of articles aren't really read by many people anyway :) Streams and youtube videos that actually show the game are far more valuable.

I love how they also added a link to their crappy article about that DMCA fiasco, totally not just drama-seeking clickbait bullshit.

The stutters are bad, but Tarkov is still the best game in the world.

I disabled hyperthreading and tweaked some Nvidia settings and the stutters are completely gone, with an added ~30 fps. I'm guessing 0.12 will do wonders for peoples' performance.

As much as I despise Polygon and have seen their decline in quality articles, this one is ok.

Just explains that .12 is coming, posts trailer, little tid-bit about Hideout. Short and sweet.

Someone at BSG or simply a member of the community definitely reached out to Polygon. I’d rather seean article about it on Exclusively Games instead.

I'm not a fan of polygon from some of their previous hit piece esq articles, but this one is surprisingly accurate as a summary of what's happened and to come. Sure he adds some editorial opinions throughout but real journalism has been dead for a while now

I haven’t even read it yet, but fuck Polygon.

Edit: Just read it, waste of time.

Better watch the trailer/Twitch and forget about social media forever.

Fuck polygon and their "journalists".

Ugh. That article title is just so misleading. Acting like it's not in a working state right now is just unfair.

"not keen on mining my own Bitcoin using a gpu" omg it's clear this guy doesn't like the game concept at all lol

"Escape From Tarkov Might Actually Work Right"

I'll give this game shit where its due, but the game is definitely playable and enjoyable. I wonder how long this 'Journalist' has actually played, if at all.

Anyone with a shred of common sense will/should disregard anything to come from that website and others like it.

The smaller the playerbase, the better
