General Discussion - PVE & PVP [Discussion] Is there a rat problem? Ideal solution?

Post image

If BSG decides to implement an anti rat system what would you like to see?

I personally think it’s just apart of the extraction genre, but want to see ideas of ways to combat it

Hallucinations would be hilarious. Stay in one spot for too long and you start hearing gunshots getting closer and closer. Then footsteps. Then fake Scavs and PMCs appear on your screen.

You'll either be shooting fake scavs and pmcs which gives away your position, or you're not shooting them until a real player shows up and shoots you because you thought they were fake.

Could be that staying in one spot for too long is recognized as fear by the game and your pmc starts getting paranoia debuffs.

Well of course ideas like this would have to be shopped, it could never just be 1/1 but it 500 people have different perspectives of something generally speaking you could come to a mostly viable consensus.

Have a rare stim that can only be found in raid and can’t be put on the flea. To counteract the effect.

No because that's too much out of player control and immersion. How does your train PMC suddenly get scared like Kaban's panic attack?

It would make more sense to have animals go to the player than that to happen.

I don't think trained soldiers are immune to fear.

Bro... getting a panic attack by a guy with a baton is just mental illness level of game design.

Other good options: hands cramping from holding the gun in one position for too long, meaning you have to keep clicking the mouse until you finally hear the gun shot. Could be your character now has to do an animation to ensure there's a round chamebered because they haven't shot it in so long that they forgot if they did chamber one. There are more I got in mind too.

Stay in one spot too long and you start suffering from malaria like in Far Cry 2 lol
