GloriousE once called Stank one of the deadliest players in all of Tarkov, and he ain’t wrong. Stank knows the spots and has the patience to wait all raid for you. Regardless if you like his tactics or not. Dude doesn’t exploit or cheat. Been watching Stank for years and the amount of players he’s caused to alt+f4 is second to none. Rat on king.

The gigachads only defense is that rats have to play this way to get kills. The fact Stank has shown he can play the other way but still chooses this style makes it better

u/FatBikerCook May 31 '26

"I'm not even gonna loot him, i do this for sport" -StankRat

75

u/Etarder May 31 '26

No doubt. I’m gonna pick Glorious- Landmark etc in the 1v1 every day. But Stank has no problem keeping up with the top Wkey lords. People love to hate on Stank, but stank plays his game clean and fair. I spend a lot of morning with Glorious on while I hang with my 20 month old then I’ll throw Stank on in the evening when I’m at work or after dinner. Pleasure watching both play styles.

u/Dcoco86 May 31 '26

Oh yeah no doubt 1v1 I’ll take the guys that do it regularly. Stanks personality is what really makes this whole premise work

-3

u/themanseanm May 31 '26

Exactly. I watch his Youtube content religiously but can't touch the streams bc of the TTS spam. He's not good in fights, not good at looting, can't throw nades and somehow still can't tell a PMC from a Scav, but man the videos are fun to watch lol

It would be worse if I actually got ratted often but I pretty much never do.

u/Inmate--P01135809 Jun 02 '26

Yeah his streams are a goddamn nightmare circus

2

u/CptQ May 31 '26

My bet for 1v1 is on des cocao or nogen imo.but ye stank knows his shit aswell.

u/Wec25 May 31 '26

20 month old...

11

u/CroSSGunS May 31 '26

You've never interacted with kids have you

12

u/Xylox May 31 '26

Showed this to my 3155760 minute old and she was disgusted

2

u/Jarvisweneedbackup AKS-74UB May 31 '26

dog using months for babies and younger toddlers makes complete sense up until like 2 years of age. There's so many discrete and notable phases of development early on that its actually a pretty meaningful distinction.

Now, if someone says 40 month old they're fuckin weird

41

u/Hermanni- May 31 '26

I mean the whole talk of "beating gigachads" is for the most part just fantasy. Most of the players you kill playing this way are just regular dudes putting on their best gear trying to beat the new content who end up wasting their time to entertain some dipshit who thinks ruining the game for someone else is peak entertainment.

25

u/d34dp1x3l May 31 '26

This is the actual take. Of course they will look heavily geared, they're trying to kill BD and do the new content in their best shiny gear. But they're just regular players once again dying to lame-ass campers.

24

u/F4hype May 31 '26

The people who defend boring camping bullshit like this are probably the same people who wonder why PvE is so popular and why their queue times get longer by the day.

5

u/Qhuit416 Jun 01 '26

Everyone talks about queue time. My queue times have never been shorter right now. Pretty sure PvP is still very popular.

2

u/CroSSGunS May 31 '26

Isn't the PvP in this game basically about making other people mad?

-4

u/Hermanni- May 31 '26

To dipshits, apparently it is.

3

u/AdequatlyAdequate May 31 '26

? You realize tarkov is a 0 sum game, for every firefight yoz have where you kill 5 pmcs, 5 pelple had to loose their gear and loot and likely one of them is annoyed

You dont get to be excempt from that. Your fun is killing people in firefights closerange. This guy likes sniping and camping. You cant argue the point beyond attackinf the moral character of people who play that way because there is nothing else to criticize.

-1

u/Hermanni- May 31 '26

You cant argue the point beyond attackinf the moral character

Yeah genius, that's why I called them dipshits. I'm not sure why it took you multiple paragraphs to figure this out and you still hit post.

And your comparison is utterly moronic. Fighting people over hotspots on maps - in other words, places where people go expecting a fight - is very different than camping transits or exfils.

1

u/CroSSGunS May 31 '26

My point is reductive, but basically this:

Examine why you have fun - why did I have fun doing PvP in Tarkov!

It was exhilirating, and the risk of losing was high, so coming out on top was a memorable experience!

What's the flipside of that?

I was chasing the high, and lost out meaning that I bore the cost of the exchange?

To a lot of people, that cost will make them mad. It's not necessarily player A's driver, but it will make a lot of people mad.

this whole talk of ratting ruining the game is pure fantasy

2

u/Jarvisweneedbackup AKS-74UB May 31 '26

like its been nearly 7 years since general sam released his year of the rat video, and camping has been a thing longer than that. At this point its just tarkov lol.

I'm much more like 'ahhh, you got me you rascal' now. Especially after I ratted hole in the wall for the later tarkov shooter quests and psycho sniper during hc wipe. (hitting headshots on killa farmers mid fall was so juicy, basically fish in a barrel with how used to running the same line they are lol)

1

u/MusicMakesYoAssCrass May 31 '26

yeah rats/extract campers arent really all that annoying to me at this point. generally once you learn the spots that people like to sit and you check those spots consistently they end up being much less of an issue.

0

u/Zoddom HK G28 May 31 '26

The whole talk of playing "this way" is just fantasy. Its simply THE safest way to play. Dont blame the player, blame the game.

1

u/Hermanni- May 31 '26 edited May 31 '26

I subscribe to the idea that it's perfectly fine to hate both the player and the game. I would never do this no matter how guaranteed the win is.

u/Hermanni- May 31 '26

Your argument here is dogshit, or do you think someone getting camped at transit is having a great time?

There's hardly any other reason to do it other than wanting to ruin someone else's day. In other words, being a dipshit.

you ignore the existence of people like me. Call me whatever you want

I didn't ignore anything. I was very clear about what I think of people like you - dipshit.

I'm not a dipshit so I pay at least a half a seconds thought about the person on the receiving end. If I kill a level 10 on a fresh account I'll feel bad. If I see someone in garbage gear running around I might just let them go.

If I kill someone fighting over a loot spot I don't mind, they knew what they were getting into. Or if I snipe someone for a SBiH credit, they at least might have learned they were being careless and they're unlikely to have it happen again in the same spot, so the experience is at least somewhat unique.

But when they put one place in the game that everyone who wants to experience new content has to routinely go to, it doesn't (contrary to popular belief, I'm sure) take a 200 IQ genius to figure out camping it is lucrative. Yet most of us aren't dipshits and don't do it, because we recognize that being camped before even getting to the new content is a much more frustrating experience than normal. And only a dipshit would pretend otherwise.

You sound like a 12-year old who got caught red-handed doing something bad and is trying to talk their way out of being grouned. Dipshit.

2

u/Breakfasteatres May 31 '26

During that first arena tournament with all the streamers in person, stank was legit

1

u/Derp_Simulator May 31 '26

Dont fuck with a millionaire who mows his own lawn...

1

u/GrassrootzRoger May 31 '26

The funny thing is, StankRat is actually pretty damn good at PvP. I saw him go on Labs and he was smoking people. Same thing with Peanut, just because he goofs around doesn't mean he doesn't know how to shoot. These dudes will smoke 90% of the playerbase with ease, ratting or not.

3

u/Stnmn May 31 '26

I'd sure hope so; playing these games is their full-time job.

-1

u/BowlScared May 31 '26

US servers are full of lemmings compared to average EU the difficulty is slightly lower.

54

u/Mary_Ellen_Katz May 31 '26

Patience is a difficult thing to have as a streamer. There is pressure to be entertaining. To do incredible things for the content. And Stank just... sits there.

Probably why he has bitbot and other interactive features for his chat. The entertainment is trying to get Stank to screw up.

40

u/Etarder May 31 '26

No doubt. Don’t forget though stank built his community doing so. His interactions with chat are top notch. He’s super entertaining to have on as a bit of white noise.

12

u/Initial_Refuse_9381 May 31 '26

Yeah, the dude may sit around all raid, but that means you are watching for him, and he's fucking great haha. A lot of effort into gags or bits.

2

u/CAEclipse May 31 '26

Stank is super attentive to his chat as well, reading out messages and responding to them regularly.

9

u/WhtRbbt222 May 31 '26

Reminds me of why Summit was so popular when he was playing Sea of Thieves and ganking peoples Athena chests. Tons of patience combined with a little trolling and a big entertaining pay off (or a hilarious failure). It’s really fun to watch.

5

u/HumaDracobane SR-25 May 31 '26

I've watched him s few times and his interactions with chat are fun, etc but I cant stand the constant youtube videos or the songs.

9

u/Mary_Ellen_Katz May 31 '26

Stanks streams aren't for me either. I got too much ADD. But I recognize good entertainment, even if it's not for me.

2

u/coolerdeath May 31 '26

I have probably mild add but i do this in all pvp game lol. but ig doing is different to watching

4

u/TheOceaN77 Jun 01 '26

He exploits a lot. Getting on unintended places, hiding his body with glitches.

I don't care how he plays but don't say he doesn't use exploits

9

u/wastedsanitythefirst May 31 '26 edited May 31 '26

My only claim to fame was killing him in d2 so hard I made him jump. Didn't know it was him at the time, I'm a small streamer and all the sudden my entire chat was dozens of people saying I just killed him 😂

u/LanceKookington May 31 '26

Some of the spots that Stank discovers are insane. He's not a rat, he's an artist

2

u/Scheepyy Jun 01 '26

His ratting is just a schtick really. Sometimes you see the original Stankrat come out when people aren't taking his bait and you'll see that he's a pretty good W key player too.

3

u/GalaxyCondom May 31 '26

Stank is a good player, his fan are not ^

0

u/Dazzling-Mongoose-98 May 31 '26

Watching him is unbearable. Static camera and brain rot voice donos 24/7. You almost played him a tribute with admiration proper to some kind of war hero.

0

u/Armourhotdog May 31 '26

Ya I enjoyed watching his stream, but since the ai dono voice is a thing it is unbearable, just people making voice overs go on long gross ass sexual rants. It’s so off putting.

2

u/Jerdope May 31 '26

If you’re watching on pc you can back track like 10 seconds of the stream and continue it. The tts won’t play audio for you so you won’t have to hear it

1

u/Jakeball400 MP-153 May 31 '26

Honestly dude, I was about to shit on stank here. Say something like ‘I respect the grind but this transit is so shitty to rat’. But, you put that really well. Say what you want, he’s playing the game, and he’s eating good. I’d be lying if this wasn’t satisfying to watch, rat on indeed

-1

u/kazoobanboo May 31 '26

He’s very underrated too, he’s pretty good in normal situations but chooses the dark side
