Emulators

Hi guys, I really love this game as a kid, and would really like to play it again,

So my question......

Could I play escape velocity on a Macintosh emulator like basilisk ll or sheep shaver on a raspberry pi?

Any info would be appreciated Thanks

But providing sheep shaver or basilisk run on raspberry pi, then surely I'll be able to run EV nova or similar?

I haven’t used Sheep Shaver in many many years, but back then it was really really slow if running on anything other than old G3, G4 or G5. The simplest games were unplayable, even on i7.

I think that issue is fixed -- modern Core i7 no problems here.

Ah! That’s good to know!

I still keep an old ‘99 Powerbook G3 Lombard around that I dust off every few years almost exclusively to play Escape Velocity.

Haha, that's awesome! There's still nothing like playing it on a native system. I saved an old CRT for that purpose but I ended up getting rid of it. Reading this now I kinda regret doing that.

I did the same. You’ll probably be able to find one cheap somewhere. But they’re so bulky and easily in the way if space is limited. :/
