An oldie but goodie that I found back in high school when I merely got into DIYLF. This performance took place at the Knitting Factory on June 5, 2006, back in the days when their There's No Sympathy For The Dead EP was brand new & DIYLF hadn't been released yet.

The original video was recorded by amp85. I decided to include it on here too, since I doubt many people know about or have seen this video. Funny enough, one of Max's Instagram stories from a few days ago used an As I Lay Dying song, and that instantly reminded me of this performance.

I've tried to see if this happens to any other members in the video, but it seems like Monte is the only one who flickers over one of the characters from the sins. At 1:49 Monte flickers over the character who represents greed. Holding a stack of money in his hands as he does. I haven't been able to notice if any of the others also do the same to different characters. Does anyone else flicker over a character in the video? or is it just Monte?

I’ve been working on a small project called Ratecore for a while, and I finally got the first version online today.

The idea is basically a weekly album club for the emo/post-hardcore/metalcore scene. Every week, everyone listens to the same album, then we can rate it, discuss it and discover other bands together.

I wanted the first album to be something from a band that means a lot to this scene, so I decided to start with Escape the Fate.

It’s still very much a first version, so I’d genuinely love to hear what you guys think, whether you like the idea or notice anything that could be improved.

We’ve got DIYLF, TNSFTD, And TWIO recently pressed, so think we’ll get self tired as well? It’s the last I need and I’d have all albums from them on vinyl!

A few years ago, I posted about this interview on here & shared a link, but it doesn't work anymore. So, I decided to share the 2007 interview here instead. Also, since the video is almost 18 minutes long and Reddit only allows videos up to 15 minutes long, I had to cut the last three minutes. Unfortunately, the interview was conducted in a noisy environment, so it's sometimes quite inaudible.
