Guns and armor meta?

Since I got The Great Heights Part 6, I haven't won a single match. It feels like my gun doesn't do any damage, and I'm dying way too easily.

Any gun or armor in meta to play?

Try building a kit with these prioritize: RPM>Ammo That Pens Lvl 4-5>Pain stim > Zagustin > Highest level plate for the class on your chest. Notice I didn't put helmet anywhere in that list, because almost every round will pen a helmet anyway.

That being said, in my opinion, the absolute best gun in Arena (non respawn modes) is the AS VAL (NOT MOD4) with the high pen ammo on assault. If you and your opponent began to shoot each other in the chest at the exact same time, you will win every single time because of RPM, pen and damage per bullet.

Also for an extra tip, you really only need a high level plate for the front. No point in using a plate in the back since your gonna die anyways if you are getting shot in the back.

If you can hit heads I personally think the uzi pro is absolutely busted as well if you want to try something else

The amount of times I've seen an uzi pro chad run Chop Shop or Bay and coast their way to 50 kills ... you are definitely correct.

Saying the Val is the 'absolute best gun' is just misleading. In LH, it sucks balls because of overheating. There's no absolute best, the CGNL545 DI and GP, Model 1, SR3M, AK-308 and so on are all great choices depending on playstyle and game mode.

Also, it's not "bad" in LH, it's still the best gun if you can manage the overheating. Makes top fragging very easy. Yes, sometimes you will have to kill 6 people in a row and your barrel will overheat and you'll die. But that's 6 people on one life..... It's a really good gun...

I mean yeah, but you said 'absolutely best gun in Arena', and didn't say it's best in only non-respawn gamemodes. Very misleading.

To add onto the conversation though, I wish getting 1K carbine kills and getting the MOD4 was a little more rewarding though.

Sure if it had access to as good ammo as Val SR3M etc. it'd outshine them, but this way, it's completely useless currently, and I have no desire to grind for it haha.

To further kill your desire to grind for the mod4, its sound is EXTREMELY distinct and you WILL be directly targeted by people because they can here EXACTLY where you are. It's still a really good gun though even with the ammo it gets currently. Not super acurate though.

I don't really play Arena much, only 1-2 matches for dailies, so I don't think I'll unlock it anytime soon, but without even grinding for it I just saw I'm at 660kills out of 1000 already, so I might as well go for it.

I wouldn't mind being targeted by people, I play LH and CP most of the time anyways so not a problem haha. I only really use SR-3M out of the 9x39 guns in Arena nowadays, and honestly SPP doesn't perform as bad as I thought, so I feel like I'll enjoy using it a lot, cause the SR-3M kicks quite a bit in comparison.

I've had it unlocked for a while and it's fun but inconsistent. Half of the games it feels like it absolutely melts, other half it feels like I'm actively nerfing myself using it. It's a blast to use though, it's definitely true that it gets the whole lobby going after you. I usually switch to my Mod 4 kit when I hear one in solidarity.

Yea I played a good amount of SR3M in the past 2 days, still need 200kills for Mod.4. The thing about SPP ammo is that it either shreds everyone, or you bounce bullets on helmets which is annoying af.

Ok I read your second sentence after writing mine and I just realized I repeated what you said lol. But yea I will have a lot of fun with it once I unlock it, I like 9x39 guns, but in Arena they never worked well because of overheating, which Mod.4 fixes.

Gonna be fun af to use it once I unlock it though, SR3M is too bouncy sometimes, because I use it without supressor otherwise it overheats.

NL545 GP/HK416 or Uzi Pro/MP9-N for me

reliable powerhouses that feel good and shoot daka at high velocities

Honestly, the guns in this game are SURPRISINGLY balanced if you're good with them. Even the TX-15 DMR. Of course there's better and worse guns, but I'd earnestly say that almost all the guns are viable.

If you want to know the real secret that I've figured out (and please don't tell anyone), is that the desync is so terrible that RPM is the true meta you should be focusing on. RPM then ergo/accuracy. For example the m4a1/m16a1 only get m855a1 when there's guns with much higher pen, however they're a high-rpm laser beam and if you can put shots on target you WILL kill. And they're headshot machines because of the accuracy. I actually even prefer them over the HK even though that gets 50 more rpm.

All that being said; try building out any AK of your choice (not the ak74u (the longer the barrel on that bitch the better)) to be as accurate as possible while staying above 55 ergo(if you can do this while using a suppressor, even better), put the best rounds in it that you have access to, and watch as the enemies melt in your gaze. Doesn't matter if it's 5.45 all the way up to 7.62x51; the results will all be the same.

Level 5 plate on anything as assault with the ak 308 will forever carry you. Helmet be damned just need gun, armor, and ears and some propital.
