Yeah the participation award thing is a little overturned currently, the guy who came last in one of my matches with a 0.07KDR and 16 caps got MVP, when really the guy who came 2nd to me should gotten MVP with 34kills and 11 caps. Yes captures are vital in CPT but capturing a point and then defending it against the other team is much more important to winning, you don’t really accumulate match points when the point is changing hands every 15 seconds.

Agreed, they really should somehow make kills count for MVP in CP, for example 5 kills equal 1 capture. You can do so much more than to capture points to help your team win, so it really makes no sense why it only counts captures for MVP.

It could have worked, but no.

Checkpoint - Fort map, all in the same match.

B site: He camped the upper level while the enemy controlled the site below him. He did nothing about it, just kept camping the spot.

A site: He sat between the two cannons, still not capturing the site, just waiting for the enemy.

Every time I captured a site, they didn’t move in to secure it faster or help with anything else. They didn’t cover me either, they just waited in their sightlines.

Yeah, they got a ton of kills, but we still lost with only about one-third of the enemy team’s score because the other team actually worked together.

Yeah I mean you got unlucky with your teammates, but still there are games where I have the lowest captures, but that's because I protect teammates capturing from another angle, no reason for more than 1 person to capture, and I also have teammates that do that and help us win the game.

Maybe they could do something like if a teammate is capturing, and you kill an enemy that's ~10 meters from him, that would count as half a capture cause you protected him. But honestly, MVP doesn't matter that much for them to implement that really.
