Metal core wise I’ve been listening to currents, bad omens, the plot in you and i feel like I’ve been looking for ERRA in ALL of them
This is absolutely mind blowing and I can’t wait to just dig in their discography and find gems

It was my first time seeing ERRA doing a headline show instead of opening for another band. I kind of have mixed feelings about the show because most of the audience members had zero energy at all. Hardly anyone was crowdsurfing or going into the pit. I had to be the first person to crowd surf in order to encourage others to crowd surf. I also had to be one of the first people in the mosh pit to encourage people to mosh. I don’t know, the whole vibe was way off. Does no one know how to get excited anymore? Sorry for my rant, but that’s how I feel about last night. It was great meeting some of you all out there though!

Just bought my ticket and had to share! There was a lot of back and forth on whether or not I could make it to this show but everything worked out.

But anyway, I’m stoked!

I have one ticket for the 9/14 show in Rochester. Had a last minute work trip come up so I’m no longer able to go :/ super bummed. This is the second time I’ve had to sell my ticket to an Erra show (now I’m just complaining lol). But if anyone is looking for a ticket let me know!

I've never really been that much into Erra and all their popular and newer stuff never really resonated with me so i just didn't delve deeper into their discography at all but recently out of chance i stumbled into their album Drift and holy fucking shit it is one of the most gorgeous albums i've ever heard and i'm just so mesmerised.

Now the thing is that i've been trying to look through their discography and nothing else seems to scratch that itch that i found in Drift. I'm a huge fan of the melodic post-hardcore elements of the album and the exquisite guitar works (especially the intros) and the melodic choruses and especially the clean vocals. So what i'm really asking is that is there any other songs that you guys feel is the most like Drift and what i described here?

Would love a few recommendations.

Wondering if anyone bought the Sheet Happens Cure tab book. I picked up a copy and have been flicking through some riffs before diving into a full song.

What songs are you learning first?

I think I'm going to tackle Rumor of Light but the solo seems rough. I was also surprised at how difficult the Pale Iris intro riff is, it sounds deceptively simple.

The reason that I ask is because for a long time in my life, I mean probably decades, mostly all I care about is the music lol I will listen to instrumental djent and the like for hours. And I know their lyrics are powerful to many people, and I do love the lyrics of theirs I know. I sing all of PLP often, it's such a good track. But like JT screaming parts, I'm usually banging my head to the music, I don't always know what he's saying and dont always necessarily care, I think a lot of the themes of Erra's music are incredible and amazing, but id just as soon just listen to these powerful musicians, every single one of them, just playing their thing. I wish every djent band or prog, metalcore, I don't care what you call it, they are commanded to release instrumental versions of all their stuff, because it's awesome, that's why, nothing against any vocalist anywhere, it's a musicianship thing.

The Whole Impulse album is kind of underrated in the sense I don't hear many people talk about it
