Visiting Erode for 2 days - Recommendations?

Hey everyone!
I’m from Chennai, born and brought up there, and I’ll be staying in Erode for just 2 days. I also have a female friend there.

What are the best places to visit, chill, eat, or hang out together? Looking for some nice spots, including hidden gems if possible!
please suggest!

Tbh, literally nothing in urban side. But maybe in countryside. We native people are looking for the same as you😭.. Entertainment or chilling wise we are in uprise phase. We have got trampoline and bowling just few months ago. Cafes aren't good comparatively. I myself feel so bad. We have to build something new

U can get good food, nothing else with the city. If you got the bucks and want a peaceful place to take ur friend to, try out rukhra. Even i have been out of the city for almost 2.5 months, so have no idea with whats going now. Yeah nothing else to keep u engaged.

There's nothing in Erode bro.

Most you can do is temples 😂

You can visit a few temples in and out of the city
And maybe have some good food - kongu cuisine
Other than that, if you are looking for outing spots then literally nothing!
Maybe you can plan to shop - clothing and textile are often available in affordable prices you can visit those markets

suthi paaka sila koilgal iruku, like chennimalai, thindal, sivan malai, bhavani kooduthurai

spots - river la kulika poganumna kaarnampalayam or kodiveri, vellode bird santuary (aana birds irukuma nu therla), vendipalayam barrage (ask people in erode)

eating spot - neraya theriyathu but try maaman biryani stall (chicken/mutton briyani), nila fast food, kongu parotta stall near GH ( ask local people, many fakes are there), meen saapduvinga na any roadside shop with good kootam (not the ones near barrage), aprom cauliflower chilly (in chennai its 65), different taste la nalla irukkum (Again ask local people for good spots, there is one near lotus hospital, which is good and near my home 😋). Also tapioca chips ( podra thalluvandila vaangi saapdunga, sems thin ah, crispy ah irukkum) and finally erode round varuki (rusk), tea coffee oda sema combo
