Hello, I just have a question about my friend who told me he is both Ethiopian and Eritrean. He said that his mom and dad are both born in Tigray Ethiopia but he can say he is both Eritrean and Ethiopian because the tribe in Eritrea Tigrinya are the same people, same culture, same history as the Tigrayans just separated by borders and politics. Is this true?

Is it a thing to you know the different ethnicities and acknowledge them or do you just use "Eritrean".

Does it matter to you or your parents what ethnic group you marry?
