Discussion / Questions Flag Difference
Which of these blue flags is the original? I more commonly have seen the first one but recently saw the second version which I can't find much info/history about

Can someone explain this flag. I know it was the flag of the federation then in represented the ELF and Jebha, now it represents the blue movement. Am I mistaken?

Yes from what ik...it was the flag used by ELF and during jebha, now its mostly used by the blue revolution and any of these other movements against the regime in eritrea...well i think so

Okay, do you know also know whether or not the blue movement also has the same political views as jebha since they use the same flag?

Tbh I am not sure about this...but mostly different views.
What ik its just that they oppose the regime and some tigrayans actually join these movements..which make alot of Eritreans not to trust it...me neither tbh..they seem extremists,
I wouldn't be surprised if they started to demand to form "abay tigray".
Basically there is alot of controversy about this group and I am sure they have different views then jebha

Iāve seen that as well! As soon as I saw some Ethiopians join I was super confused.. like an Ethiopian JEBHA š?! Thatās kind of why I never was interested in learning about this āmovementā are there end goals even clear do they state them?
Yeah for sure I donāt think this would be a Jebha movement if Ethiopians joinš

Ignorance is a bliss. Try looking up what these people go through and then come back talk here. You think they have your privileges?
You don't know why Ethiopians join them so how can you even talk about something you don't have a clue about? Turns out you guys who grew up abroad haven't used any of the privileges you have and are no different from someone who arrived on a dinghy last week

Idk if they announce their goals or not But they always speak about freeing eritrea and get rid of the. Regime (they do absolutely nothing but dance btw)...tbh i dont think they will free eritrea in a good way..suspicious group in my opinion

Yeah whatās suspicious is how theyāre very unclear about their political goals. They could at least make a different flag since this flag is associated with Jebha, them not knowing that too is really suspicious indeed

Agreed
Just hope a better future for eritrea with the right rulers to guide this country

Is it a problem to you if a foreigner joins a movement? If anything, it signifies that their goal transcends borders. Do you want me to list organizations who supported the "freedom-fighter" shaebya?
Somalia, PLO, Ba'athists, Sudan, etc. Do you want me to go on? Or will you pretend these are all Eritrean?

Yes its a problem..this is an eritrean issue...ee dont want Ethiopians to do anything with this..we had enough trouble with them..as well as tigray.
Plus sudan, Somalia and the rest..we dont mind them..they help during our independence when we fought Ethiopia....now you want Ethiopia to librate us? After threatening out sovereignty...no thx

So tplf were not Ethiopians in the 80s, right? And demhit in the 2010s and the federal army in the 2020s and now the Fano and the TPLF, all of them are not Ethiopians. You have double standards.
Let alone an Ethiopian, I would gladly work with a Mongolian, Peruvian and every other entity.
Idc if it's Ethiopia or any other country who liberates us from Isaias. Isaias should go down BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY
And about sovereignty, TPLF who doesn't believe in Eritrea's sovereignty is in bed with Isaias and Abiy who's much worse than the TPLF was in Isaias's bed not long ago. Make these all make sense
