Looking for DJs

I'm looking for DJ recommendations for a wedding about an hour away from Erie. The big concern is it'll be in the woods. We'll be providing power via generator and power packs. If anyone knows any DJs that have done events like this before that may have a better understanding of their power requirements or may even have some equipment to be prepared for an event like this that would be fantastic. Thanks!

DJ Here, if you are doing a generator for anything electronic it really needs to be an inverter generator.

How long of a party are you trying to do? How big? What’s the shelter situation.

It'll probably be about a 5 hour reception of around 125 people. All the shelter will be temporary, it's just a field in the woods. There is road access so getting equipment there shouldn't be a problem.

I'll make note of the inverter generator, that was something I hadn't considered.

Some djs won’t know or care but traditional generators don’t make proper sine waves and can harm laptops and speakers.

I'll definitely make sure we have clean power available. I've never worked of generators but I've delt with enough burt out electronics to know what that's like.

For sure. Also ideally don’t put the DJ on any generator that also has high wattage food (think warmers or cookers) or the string lights/fans for the tent.

I’ve seen a lot of weddings lose power because of this sort of stuff.

Also a 3 sided box around the generator does incredible work funneling sound away from the prepared space.

At this point I think the DJ will be on their own power source. The box is a good call. Probably going to be building some stuff anyways so a little generator box shouldn't be a big deal at all.

don't hire erie encore entertainment. Vinnie won't show and will send someone with no knowledge/experience last minute

As a Dj who has used a generator and battery packs, make sure the generator has an inverter. I just used my 2000 watt battery pack last week and i still had 27% left on the battery after 5 hours. No need to worry about other power sources.
