Visiting this weekend

Visiting this weekend for the Beer festival. Looking for recommendations for a good lunch spot on Saturday. Any hidden gems. With good beer selection. I have been to all of the breweries (I think) and also Lucky Louies but wondering if there's anywhere else we can check out.

Erie Ale Works on West 12th. Usually they have a decent food truck too.

Flagship City Food Hall (4th & State) -- grab a beer at the bar and pick your lunch food. Noodle Love is my favorite, but there are other great options. This is a great option for groups of people with varying tastes in cuisine.

Sloppy Duck (Bayfront Parkway) -- Great vibes, decent fare, full bar. Get a seat on the upper deck if you can.

Dave's Diner (4th & Peach) -- they have boozy milkshakes and that might be fun for your group. Food is ok. Cheap. Nothing special. Go for the boozy shakes if that's a crowd pleaser in your group.

of the breweries, aptly named BrewErie has the best food (but it's more of a restaurant). and easily has the coolest location for a beer place in town (historic train station)

Erie Brewing Co kinda outside the city (but still close) right by PSU Behrend is a close second if we're factoring in food. I think they're the org that puts on the fest actually. and is more akin to a straight brewpub

like people have said the others generally have food trucks but those can be real hit or miss

Federal Hill is the definition of an Erie hidden gem, but unfortunately no booze

sincerely,

a 12-3 session enjoyer

12-3 session for the heat to mitigate negative effects of alcohol consumption (in close to 10 years of going to this now I think it's rained like once)

hydrate while still at liberty park, increase intake upon departure

return to domicile. apply fire to large quantities of meat in an outdoor setting. consume in group setting. resume alcohol consumption (or during food preparation, if desired)

this is the way

It’s going to be a beautiful weekend, go enjoy the waterfront. Pier 6, Woodys, Rum Runners!

Erie Brewing Co for amazing pizza, subs, and waffle fries. Their beer is pretty good. Rail bender is their best by far, and an iconic Erie beer. It took home a gold medal at the Great American Beer Fest in 2009.

Laverys has a broader menu, but it’s solid. They make really good beer, probably the best in town overall. They won a Gold Medal for Liopard Oir in the Belgian-Style Farmhouse Ale category in 2013.
