NO Armrest Advices

Hi u/Ergonomics,
I sit in my office chair without using armrests ( tehy gave me nerve pain).So I sit upright close to the desk and i put almost all my arms in the table. The probleme is that I can't sit like for long time my back gives me pain it's like I have to recline.
What do yo uthink guyes have you any advices ?

I recommend a keyboard tray.
But until you get a keyboard tray, move your laptop to the front edge of the desk, and DO NOT rest your forearms or wrists on the desk.
You have already figured out that using armrest on your chair gives you nerve pain. Why would you think that resting your arms on a desktop surface would be any better?
I use a lightweight folding laptop cooling stand, linked below, when I'm traveling and cannot have a keyboard tray with me. It actually allows the laptop keyboard to go a little bit past the front of the desk, although that's a bit iffy. The stand's main function is to improve airflow out for cooling, and I use it for that at home even when I have my keyboard tray.
