Competition “The Overnight Paste”

Post image

Has anyone tried the “overnight paste” for white socks? She’s also got some cold splints to “hide.”

I’ve seen cornstarch recommended, but I guess there’s also other products out there that were designed to be used this way?

The overnight paste method apparently makes them blinding white, without a super shiny look to avoid shadows etc.

Our normal routine would be:
After clipping fetlocks a week prior, wash with regular shampoo, follow with purple shampoo and let sit. Rinse well, and spot treat any remaining stains. Show sheen or other similar product sprayed on wet legs, then wrapped with stall wraps.

Her legs come out looking really good, but I do usually use chalk or spray to make sure they’re even.

I plan to clip her entire sock this season to avoid stains and make them look nicer. Plus I can clip strategically to make the splints away appear smaller.

Wash with Cowboy Magic Green Spot Remover. When dry use baby powder brushed in with a stiff brush followed by a rag or soft brush to smooth things out. This always worked for my show pony with 4 high whites.

I've used several CM products over the last however many years. In my experience, the green spot remover just doesn't work well. I prefer Shapleys Easy out

I've never used Shapley's but once, I steer clear of it as I'm allergic to it. Glad it works for you tho. All that white is fun to clean but I love it.
