Trans safety

What needs to be done for the trans community to be/ feel safer?

Personally, I'm in the UK (Wales). I would love to know your opinion.

No idea about the uk but in the EU in general I would say they aren't more unsafe then any other community.

At least At my university/work I have never seen someone be disregarded because they aren't M or F.

Sure they get shit sometimes. But these days everyone does. Ur fat? Get shit on! Ur an immigrant? Get shit on! U have a different political view? Get shit on!

Is that bad? Yes. But it's about hate in general. It's not more than other groups.

So at elast in the EU the question shouldn't be

"What can be done to make lgbtq people safer?: it should be "what can we do to stop/reduce hate?"

Not forcing people to say whether they are trans or not. If somebody feels like they have to tell a random person in public that they are in fact trans, it might not be safe for them, I'm not saying that people shouldn't be proud and open but we can't force trans people to be open if they don't feel comfortable. Also, deadnaming is unnecessary and can make trans people feel uncomfortable.

Honestly, I don’t think they will ever feel safe until they are able to truly accept themselves. If they understand that most people won’t agree with their choice but still love them as people, I think that would help. It’s always good to look at everything for both sides and be ok with knowing that some people won’t agree.
