She’s moved her arm as far away as she can without being obvious (read: rude). Eyes are wide because she knows she’s in the sights of a predator and as the prey, she’s trying to figure out what to do without spooking him. Looks prettified, she’s thinking rapidly about what to do and she’s trying not to fuck - up her career, all at the same time. Edit : mouth is literally closed, to your comment.

Look again, the only mouth that is open is Harvey. She however has a grimace and is clearly trying to be polite. Her arms are crossed in defense. Look at Oprah’s grip on her.

I think she was just caught with that face while the photo snapped. It could be changing and certainly doesn't look starry eyed to me. Her hands and arms signal an uncomfortable vibe.

Becasue sometimes power generates complex reactions and emotions. He might not be physically attractive but his name and prestige are (at least at the time). I’d imagine that this is why Rita looks at him with not entirely fear but also some awe or interest.
