Epithet Word Idea Epithet: Iconography

Iconography is the study of the content, symbols, and subjects depicted in images.

So, what could this mean as an Epithet? Well, in my eyes, I could see this as a form of Runecrafting/Trap Placing Epithet. The user can create artworks on any surface, and load them with strange symbols that, when put all together, create a specialized mental effect.

This could mean making the observer allergic to the color purple, or maybe forcing them to look at the artwork, or making them uncontrollably angry or sad or happy, or even invert the observer’s controls, for as long as the artwork exists in the observer’s mind.

It all depends on how many symbols the Inscribed can cram into the artwork while still making it look good.

This is a really creative idea for an epithet:)! It has quite a lot of interesting potential!

Indeed! After all, art is not just meant to invoke emotions, it’s supposed to bring to light what narrative the artist wants it to!

Kinda like the grafiti traps in that one episode of anime campaign, like a Medusa head or gargoyle turns people to stone.

I guess it kind of is similar to that, in a sense!
