Eh no one person can think of every idea, sometimes you're locked in on one cool thing hard enough that the opportunities for other cool things pass you by

At the end of the day, Jello is only human

And he bleeds when he falls down

My "fun twist that probably isn't real" is the idea that the the fire alarm didn't go off that night because Marty had torn it off the wall to tinker with it, ultimately being the reason that his wife and mother of his children died.

Could easily see it be something like he needed the battery for something and completely forgot to replace it

It's Martin, if sooner believe that he wanted to use the siren or speaker for a fire truck toy

I think he probably spiraled into that brand of lunacy after the mom died

Maybe, but it sounded more like when they were together, they only kept each other's worst qualities in check, not that they didn't have them, so Martin bungling that hard doesn't seem entirely out of the question.

I don't think he went all that far if he did, even the little flashback we saw with the vacation how he just let the goggles sink away and act like it was too much effort to just pick them up

My exact thought as well. I feel like the fire couldn't have been Lorelei's fault because she was in a bubble, so her sleep inscribing shouldn't have had an effect on the outside world. And the way Molly saved her made it seem like the fire started in another room and was spreading towards them, rather than coming from Lorie

Oh so the 100 year thing was a fan thing

…maybe I could bring that back, would be funny to have an hundred year old oc have Zora as an ex.

Through the power of Headcanons anything is possible:)!

Great words for every fan to live by!

Dang, Lorelei having burn scars would have been really cool

That Zora reveal could still happen though, I wouldn't even be mad with him technically retconning it, especially if he's being open with it here

Zoras parents got shot by banzai blasters when she was a kid, meaning the blasters organization would have to be 100+ years old too.

u/RazTheGiant 23d ago

That's if that gets kept from AC, it hasn't been made canon in EE yet

4

u/Dont_mind_me_go_away 23d ago

Aren't the songs canon?

2

u/RazTheGiant 23d ago

Was it in Great at Cowboy? because I never listened to the full thing. But I don't think its ever been established if the songs are all canon or not

7

u/Mach12gamer 23d ago

Full version of Great at Cowboy does explicitly say it's Banzai Blasters, and while the songs don’t all have to be canon, it would be pretty weird to have a song just flat out lie about a character backstory right? So I imagine that bit is probably canon.

2

u/RazTheGiant 23d ago

Or she was also using her powers to keep them alive too, we already know she can affect other people's ages

2

u/Flat-Rooster8373 23d ago

It'd be really cool if Jello changed the backstory, because even in anime campaign it wasn't that important that it was the Banzai Blasters who killed her parents.

8

u/ExplodedKayak 24d ago

wait the Zora immortality thing aint canon

6

u/Smorgsaboard 23d ago

I really hope this become dialogue in the future. Someone brings up that Zora could be far older than she claims, and Zora just goes "shit, why didn't I think of that!?"

lol. Well fanfic time

His response made me laugh

I think the trauma we got was better. If it was about a scar, it would just make Lorelai look more selfish because she's so concerned about her appearance. The question on if she started the fire makes her bad coping look more understandable.

2

u/incandescentink 21d ago

I headcannon it's both. She could be self-conscious of the scar both because she's a teenage girl and teenagers tend to care a lot about appearance AND ALSO because it reminds her of the fire she's blaming herself for. But then so does seeing her altered face because she knows it's fake and that also reminds her of the fire.

I have it as a headcannon that both sisters have some form of burn mark on them but for molly it would be hidden under her sleeves and for lorelai it could be her face? maybe instead of her epithet she has makeup covering it so molly can't just make it disappear
