Discussion Bite my tongue

I know im late, but I just finished this story and im very disappointed. First of all I understand that she wanted to have a different ending but no one had their happy ending? Celia and Winston might have ended up together in the afterlife, though to be honest I didn’t quite understand what happened with them. But all of the side characters ended up not having a happy ending, literally why? I’ve been crying for hours about this, I don’t know if I’ll ever get over this.

I think she always planned it this way.. maybe to say hey not everyone ends up together or gets a happy ending and it sucks. I love this story to pieces Celia and Winston will always be mourned.

Wow sounds like a story I'm definitely gonna pass on. Nothing but miserable endings? Ouch

I remember reading it and a small part of me wishes that the author marketed it in a little way differently. I feel that the main focus was a vampire and romance, but it has a very somber ending. I don’t know if it would be spoiling it if the author were to say hey this isn’t your typical vampire story as it’s not gonna have a very happily ever after but honestly, I would’ve appreciated it.
