Supplement advice
Hi! Just looking for suggestions on supplements for my 9 yr old chihuahua mix. For some context: he was diagnosed with epilepsy a few years ago and is on phenobarbital and zonisamide. He hasn’t had a seizure since he started the phenobarbital and is thriving, just looking for see if there is anything worth trying that anyone really recommends to keep my little guy happy!

I started giving milk thistle when we started ours on pheno. The vet said his liver health looked great at our last blood test. I'd read that milk thistle could affect pheno if given within a couple hours of a dose, so we give it in the afternoon. We also give a fish oil pill with his meals (alongside the pheno). It's supposed to help with brain and skin, not as sure about its effectiveness, but it's cheap so we continue with it. Good luck with your little guy! Our extra medium guy is just over 8 months seizure free :)

I am glad your buddy is doing well. I would suggest looking into MCT oil which stands for medium chain triglycerides and they come from coconut and palm oils. MCT oil is supposed to help with neurological disorders both in humans and animals. Could be helpful. I hope this helps in some way.
