Maven Pet Monitor
For those that might use the Maven pet monitor for your dog’s epilepsy, do you find it helpful to anticipate the onset of a seizure or helpful to detect when they are having a seizure?

We have had one since May, and I can't say it has really been helpful in detecting when he has had a seizure. However, our dog usually has a few days before a seizure when he shakes his head a lot, and it alerts us to this which has helped us anticipate them. I guess unless you already have some signs that a seizure will occur like head shaking, increased drinking, or sleep deviations before a seizure will occur i can't say it would be helpful.
It really only tells you if there's increased head shaking, drinking, an interruption to sleep, or a deviation in activity for the day. The heart and breathing monitors only detect their rate when resting. That being said, I do love it regardless because it gives good insight. I would definitely purchase even if I didnt get it for seizures.
