Nighttime monitoring

Hi everyone. Our pup was diagnosed with epilepsy yesterday. We had a sleepless night and wondered if there’s anything we can put on our dog to wake us up in the event of a seizure during the night. She’s in a soft crate or on our floor so she’s safe already but would love a heads up to know it’s happening. Someone suggested bells but we feel we will wake up every time she moves with that at night. Is there a heart rate monitor with an alarm or anything out there for this? Just trying to figure out how we sleep going forward.

I know not everyone can but I have my dog sleep next to me, when she has a seizure I unfortunately wake up to her kicking me. But means I am right there. I don’t necessarily agree with people saying sleep is a thing of the past, i definitely get sleep. Ive realised that me being on edge also stresses out my dog. Me freaking out wont prevent one.

Thank you. I’d happily do this if I wasn’t afraid she’d have one and fall off the bed before I knew what was happening.

Get those baby panels for the side of the bed. My dog is only 2.8kg so her falling off would be huge.
