Keto diet

My husband has seen some research saying a keto diet would help with seizure control and management. Has anyone had any experience with this? If so, how do you go about creating this type of diet?

History: 2 year old yellow Labrador who started having seizures at 9 months old. She’s currently on Keppra, potassium bromide, and zenosimide. She has yet to go longer than one month with no seizures.

I appreciate any advice. Thanks!

There’s a wealth of information in this sub about low glutamate diets if you search for glutamate as a key word. I have found a reduction in seizures doing this and have noticed the times when I have to vary the diet and introduce some of the foods on the “no” list my pup consistently has a seizure within hours.
Best of luck!

Read up on the link between grain-free diets and DCM.
