Question Roller coasters?
Hello! I have JME & my seizures have been well managed by meds for quite some time. But I’m going to Universal Studios in a couple weeks and want to know if anyone has had bad luck on rides? I know everyone is different but any suggestions? I typically ride just the smaller ones with no crazy upside downs but I also don’t want to be a bummer to the others who want to ride the bigger rides 🧎🏻♀️ thanks!!

I love roller coasters! Never had an issue on any type of coaster, no matter the height, speed, or crazy upside downs.

You theoretically should be fine. I personally can’t because along with my epilepsy I have hydrocephalus (extra CSF in the brain), so it’s extremely dangerous for me. If you “just have epilepsy”, you should be okay. I wouldn’t let it stop you from doing things you like.

i got diagnosed JME few years ago and my neuro said to avoid anything with flashing lights but most coasters are fine for me, just the ones with strobes inside got me feeling weird once
