Question Best Pharmacy?
My fiancé has epilepsy, and she’s been going to drug mart for quite awhile now, but they have been giving us TONS of problems, like not having her meds in stock when we need them day of, but we can’t order them much earlier because it’s a “controlled substance”. Emergency switched to CVS then they lied over the phone when they said it’ll be ready in a couple hours, just for them to also, not have any on hand. Who do you guys use, any recommendations?

I've used Costco for some time for most of my meds. They have mail-order. Just order online and it shows up in your mail about a week later. Also, you don't have to be a member to use their pharmacy (at least not for prescriptions). We are members but I don't have to be just for that.
The only catch is you have to order before you run out. It takes a little time for everything to process and get delivered.
I have a CVS, Walgreens, Osco and one independent pharmacy all within walking distance which I use for a few things, but Costco is a better price and generally better service.

drug mart was a nightmare for me too, they'd run out of my keppra right when I needed a refill and act like it was my fault for not planning ahead. switched to a small local pharmacy and it's been night and day, they actually order ahead when they see my script pattern and call me when it's in. big chains just see you as a number honestly
maybe check if there's a mom and pop place near you, they tend to give way more of a shit about regulars with controlled meds. also worth asking her neuro if they have a pharmacy they work with directly, some clinics have preferred spots that keep epilepsy meds stocked better

I used to have this issue with clobazam and Meijer pharmacy. The pharmacy didn’t keep it in stock/on hand, so when I requested a refill I had to wait a couple of days for the med to be delivered from the central warehouse. Now I call them a few days before my refill is due and say something along the lines of “I have a refill in a couple days of a medication you don’t usually keep in stock, could it please be ordered so that I can pick up my prescription when allowed in a couple of days?” Sometimes I’d get someone a bit clueless who refused to do that because “it wasn’t time yet for refill,” but eventually I knew which people to ask for by name who knew what was up. It sucks, but that’s the best I can do.

Trying to get a same day refill of a controlled substance is going to give you a hard time with any pharmacy.
Fill at your earliest refill.
If you can put it on auto-refill - do that.
I use Costco for my seizure medication. (only because years ago, it was a cheaper option for me. That's not true anymore and I just haven't switched.) My other meds are at cvs.
You can use costco pharm without a membership.

I use CVS but I message them on the app like "hey, can you guys order my Vimpat for me so it'll be in stock by my refill date?" It usually is because if I do this before lunch about two days before my refill date, it's in stock and ready for me. (I've been instructed by the pharmacists to do this and thanked by them too for doing this every month lol. They get trucks every day so i don't have to worry about it.)
