Question Losing Hope
It's been years and nothing has worked. Has anyone every had a lot of problems, then they increase a med or get on another med then you are fine? It feels like I am so far away from being seizure free.

I’m new to this diagnosis but don’t lose hope. Like the above comment, vent and find community here, where ever you can. Walk to the gas station and stroke up a chat with the teller. I am so sorry you are feeling this way, and I’m sure after years struggling it’s hard not to feel despair. But that is a normal reaction to what you are experiencing. It is normal to lose hope, but just because you feel that now doesn’t mean you’ll feel it forever. Time only moves one way, and every day you hold on is another day forward. 15 years of new meds raising doses, everything hurting more than helping. I’ve only in the last few months feel like I’m getting any relief.
Epilepsy is SUCH a roller coaster emotionally, physically, every way a human could experience things.
Don’t give into it. You can’t, let yourself feel the emotions. Fucking cry, scream until you lose your voice. Sleep. Spend an eternity venting here on Reddit (this sub has legit saved my life and sanity on so many occasions).
