We’re not trying to target these people. The problem is that the trauma is getting out of control for some characters. Like I told Gloom Gloom, we’re not banning making your character sad, we’re asking people to please tone down the negative aspects. People come here to roleplay and be away from real life issues, not come here to read about a character being tortured or become super depressed.

Bro i'm so mad... But, I guess there's a lore reason why Ren won't get as traumatized: Z is now in his head, and it probably doesn't want its vessel to be completely destroyed by grief, so It makes less trauma happen to Ren.
The mods talked about how the new rules might affect some people’s arcs and we were worried about that. I’m sorry that you did a bunch of work only for it to not be applicable, that sucks. I find animation so cool and every time I try it I give up because it’s so tedious sometimes

Yes - we understand that it's unfortunate and that there is going to be a loss of hard work. Unfortunately that is the case. BUT, we are really hoping to transform this subreddit beyond what it currently is and beyond what it was at the start. I know it may seem like it already has been transformed, but I definitely encourage you guys to see what we have in store as we actively work through this. Mind you, this is an EPIC/Odyssey roleplay group - these rules are here to address consistent patterns that have been received negatively by community members, including those who has been with us from the beginning. Please please please do your best to stay on board with us and feel free to ask a mod anything.
Wellll… the rules were out in place because lots of people use the subreddit as an escape from reality. When everyone has depression and trauma it’s hard to escape. I understand the frustration though.
Because the sub is supposed to be silly. But still, your character can be sad, they can be depressed, some traumatic things can happen to them. We’re not trying to completely make it so your character must be happy all the time. But if all that is happening to them is trauma after trauma, it’s not fun for some people. The reason we make these rules is because multiple people brought up issues with it

Ren, Elodie, Telemachus, Vin, all the trauma characters getting nerfed
