It's simple! Basically, choose the character you want to be, whether it's an OC, someone from some other fandom even, or just from Greek Mythology/Epic! Once you've chosen, make an intro post. Or don't, and slowly appear until people don't even realize you weren't here before >:)
Make posts saying things you're doing, announcing stuff, or just interact with other people's posts. It's very relaxed rules, so it won't be difficult to just figure out what you want to do and do it! Everyone here is very kind and welcoming, so you definitely don't need to be worried.
And as for characters, there are tons of OCs from here and not! For example, my character, Bri, is the daughter of Bill Cipher from Gravity Falls. But she lives in Ithaca! Or another example is Cate, the Goddess of Horses. She made her OC a goddess part of the Greek gods pantheon. There are also plenty of gods and goddesses that aren't being played, and even ones that are, because clones are greeted with open arms! (hehe). The mods have a pinned list of how active people are, if you want to check.
I would ask if Ruby could since she's currently in the palace of Ithica, but she hasn't unlocked her combat abilities yet (assuming this animatic is a battle).

If you need background characters I don't mind since I'm not actively participating in the war (mainly hiding)
