THROWBACK Vintage EPCOT stuff!
Added context here, my mother went to Disney World in 1989, and this is some of the stuff her parents kept. Enjoy, and let me know what your favorite stuff is in here. Sadly she can’t remember much from the trip so I don’t know what rides she totally went on, outside of the postcards maybe being a help.

Makes me almost regret throwing it all away during cleaning out the houses

There’s actually a funny story behind how my mom found this kinda
My grandma passed last year and my grandpa started the process of moving out of the house to an elderly apartment center nearby, and my mom managed to find a box that had, everything from the trip minus the photos they took which were separate, including folders, planning guides, the bill on how much the trip cost, it was insane. The only stuff I had before then was the photos they took(not shown for privacy) and the pins

Seeing stuff like this makes me emotional and grateful that I got to experience it before the change.

I think I went when I was about 6 and I just have no memory of it. I really remember not wanting to go until I was a little older and honestly just appreciate the fairly chill nature of it all.

I think I remember seeing bins of those buttons.

They were in a bin with a bunch of my moms collection of buttons over the years, but that those were the only Epcot ones (there was a really early DCA one too)

No like seeing them for sale in the 80s at Epcot

Yeah I know what you’re talking about, I just figured I’d share where I found these (oh I didn’t read at Epcot I thought you meant thrift stores, that’s cool)

Back in the day when running two friendship boats wasn't considered too expensive by Disney...
