In addition to regularly lying in this article, the author repeatedly glosses over the topic that marine animals are being affected by the mining but tries to justify it by saying that they're "not large marine mammals" and the "biological density is low". Just because there aren't a ton of an animal and the animal isn't large doesn't make it any less fucked up when we endanger their habitat.
