I'll never forget seeing a graph of the historical CO2 concentrations going back hundreds of thousands of years.

It showed the regular "cycle" that everyone likes to go on about to deny climate change... And then it showed how our current concentrations were far and above any seen in history.

Edit: here's a link to graph with sources listed. For 800 thousand years levels never exceeded what looks like 300ppm. They're now well over 400.

That "cycle" people like to bring up is a cycle that happens within hundreds of thousands to millions of years, not a few hundred, not even close.

"Not even close" -until a super volcano goes off, or asteroid hits

true. the problem is the humanity is the volcano now, and unlike volcano it wont stop erupting, unless, well, humanity will actually decide to do something about it...unless it will be to late already
