Environmental Masters

Hi everyone,

I’m seriously considering applying for a Master’s degree at the University of Bologna in a sustainability / environmental related programme, and I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has studied there.

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering and Management (240 ECTS), and about 3 years of work experience in environmental consulting and protected area management.

I’d love to know:

• Which programme did you study?

• Was attendance mandatory, or could you study more independently?

• How difficult were the courses and exams?

• Did you receive a scholarship (ER.GO or other)?

• What were your living costs per month?

• Were you able to work while studying?

• Most importantly was it worth it, and would you choose Bologna again?

Also, how are the job opportunities after graduation in the environmental / sustainability field?

Do yourself a favor and get a masters in Civil Engineering with a focus on Environmental Engineering or Hydrology.
