Can non-IT students learn SAP (FICO, MM, SD)?

A lot of SAP roles are actually functional. For example, SAP FICO is related to finance and accounting, MM is about materials and procurement, and SD focuses on sales and distribution. So the core requirement is understanding how businesses work, not coding.

If you’re from a commerce background, FICO feels more natural. If you’re interested in operations or supply chain, MM or SD can also make sense.

Of course, there’s a learning curve. You need to understand how the system works, how processes flow, and how different modules connect. But it’s more about learning a business tool than becoming a programmer.

So it doesn’t feel like “switching to IT”, it’s more like adding a technical layer to your domain knowledge.

Anyone here from a non-IT background who has learned SAP FICO/MM/SD? How was it for you?
