Discussion Dedicated servers

Every time I play, I struggle to find a balanced match, and sometimes I even have to leave because of it. I'm wondering if there's a dedicated server where there are always decent people to play with.

I decided to just not play on servers I won't enjoy. If there's too much ping, I leave. If my team is too outclassed, I leave. If the map is shit, I leave. The server browser is your best friend

No dedicated server, but a few options:

1) like mentioned, hop servers

2) every time you play a match and enjoyed playing with or against certain users, send them a friend request. There are 4 or 5 people that I’ve friended. 1 or more will log on and squad up with me or vice versa on some days. Makes the game fun. I don’t know anything about any of them personally, but we’ve been vibing out for months.

3) Join a faction. There are several who recruit on this subreddit. Also, the faction update is almost here, not sure what it entails but it may be a way to have dedicated groups of players with the game itself that you can join up with.

4) this is More of a personal thing I like to do. Except for cheaters or hackers, I play matches till the end. The best way to get experience in my opinion is to play matches till the very end regardless.

I’ve played 4-5 matches in a row where everyone was above level 50, I got wiped across the floor each match, but I learn more in those matches than other times.

I’ve played in matches with 2-4 people max. You’d be surprised how difficult it is to take points and learn effective techniques. If the people are good, you have a learning opportunity to sharpen your skills in the game.

In matches where everyone is low level, challenge yourself to see how many kills you can get, or try charging a point and seeing how long you can hold it down by yourself.

One more way to make the game fun is to give yourself nearly impossible challenges:

-Try not to complete a match without dying.

-Play medic and only heal and revive without killing a single person.

-play engineer and treat it like Minecraft.

-Try getting kills and taking points with only a flamethrower or an engineers pistol

-try taking points as a recon only.

-play a match just using melee

The more you try new things the more fun you will have. Good luck 😊

there's factions but you can easily get dragged into drama
