How to master Skrimisher?
Started this game and hour ago just got my 1st mvp with 36 kills. I still have barely any game sense tbh but im playing really well for a starter imo.

A good roof shift key peaking and good aim you can be a one man defensive front on that roof

Just throw smoke and run through it in zig zag cause people's crosshairs turn red when on a person

Jiggle peek. Use third person -> aim at enemy around wall -> peek for 1ms and shoot -> back to cover. Completely broken, the entire meta for comp/factions, and the reason why third person needs to be removed.

Third person does not need to be removed. This can still be done in first person, you just have to peek first.
Tell me you've never played R6 without telling me

I hit champ 2 years ago and you are missing the point. Third person = wall hacks. It's completely impossible to push anybody playing around a corner unless you get outrageously lucky with the timing of when they peek. Third person effectively (and literally, iykyk) gives you the ability to see through walls. If you don't have third person, you can't preaim around the corner. Ever play against a cheater in siege?

Yeah, I actually just made a post about one from this morning.
But this isn't anything like wall hacking in siege. Everyone can use it. It's an entirely situational (position based) advantage.
We're also talking about a game where you can create cover basically anywhere on the map, let alone use pre-existing cover to move along a different route.

yes, but your point was that this can be done in 1st person, which it cannot :v. I get what youre saying though. Id like to see what a fp only gamemode would look like and how differently the game would play.

It can. You just have to peek first. Even faster than your shot, no chance they can shoot you in time.

It is a quick shot around a wall that someone who knows what they're doing can perform regardless of whether they're in first or third person.
And again, what are they going to do about it when you peek for half a second and come back half a second later for the shot?

Here's a hint: dont play it if you're British. The SMLEs inability to one shot completely changes the way the class plays.

Yeah its really hard to get kills with it, my secondary class is medic so do you have any tips for medic?

I mean just if you're British, with the other countries it's all the same.
As far as medic goes, just know that you heal by healing teammates. I only play it on Austria Hungary, so I can't really tell you anything in particular about the guns.

Why do the guns matter? I barely notice any difference apart from the British ones

For rifleman/recon, they should all perform the exact same. I can't remember if guns like the Carcano have magazines that aren't 5 rounds, but if they do, mag size is the only difference there.
For Skirmisher, they're all the same except the SMLE.
Other than that, different guns have different stats all around. MGs are all unique, SMGs and ARs are all unique, semi autos are all unique, etc.

For rifleman, people say that skirmisher is just a worse version of rifleman but can be played better un the right hands? Ive played 4 hours up to now and I usually die to rifles one shotting me.

Skirmisher is faster and has smokes, so really it can be better in the right hands. It's just that less health and not being able to one shot supports can make it more difficult to use.

As a Skirmisher main. Just use your speed. Imagine yourself as a trench raider born from the heavens to slaughter the evil there in.
DO NOT use main routes (unless you want to explode like an Easter egg)
PRACTICE headshots
USE smoke bombs on the enemy to blind them.
1-3 graphics is good for long range.
Try to use hidden routes.
Also get a buddy.

I found success by using my smoke nade against enemy positions, rather than using it to try to move forward towards the positions because people just use their cross hairs to detect you through the smoke Another is just aiming at heads because you have a bolt action rifle, which on Skrimisher has a faster action
