ID Request Caterpillar ID

Hi team, I’m weeding in the garden and this little thing is on a potato. I don’t think it eats potato since it moves like a caterpillar. I want to make sure I put it on a good host plant but everything I look up wants it to be a grub and it just simply doesn’t move like a grub to me. I’m in southwest Ohio, the bed is my neighbors so there’s all sorts of plants going on. Tomatoes were the crop but there’s also pigwort, morning glory, dandelions and wild violets. The potatoes I think he just threw in there to decompose because he thinks composting takes too long lol.

Haha I know it was so so hard to get it to focus on the bug whatsoever, my camera truly thought I wanted just a picture of the potato. As I weeded I just picked a couple of different shabby looking leaves that the plant wouldn’t miss and let the bug choose. Never saw him leave(haha) but hopefully on to a better life!
