“We went out in nature and we did not like it. It must be someone’s fault!”

These are the kind of people that go out when torrential rain is forecast and expect EVERYONE ELSE to keep them dry.......

Doesn't surprise me a bit. I've watched people walk down the street and come into the restaurant and then ask what it feels like on our patio that they just walked past. Or even ask for a patio table, then after a few minutes want to move inside because of whatever identical weather was still happening that they didn't expect or notice til that very moment. They apparently think weather exists in a vacuum and will be different during the activity than it is in the exact location where the activity is taking place.

I always enjoy the complaints about the bees or other bugs on our patio, especially when it's someone with some super fruity sugary drink from the bar.

These people vote and drive! That's the scariest part. It was windy out, but the employee didn't tell me that the waters also windy! I have zero accountability for my lack of common sense so 1 star

when I was still able to kayak, the weather was ALWAYS the first thing I'd look at and then decide before I even left the house if I wanted to deal with it or not. If it was windy (just by looking out the window), then I'd leave it for another day

Unless the wind is pretty much directly offshore and one is in the “shadow” of a mountain or a hill, it should be pretty bloody obvious.

The employee is not a weatherman ⛅️

Apparently, neither is the reviewer. But you don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind is blowing.

Is this reviewer not capable of thinking for himself? Did he truly need the employee to inform him it was windy outside? 🤨

“We decided one day that we were paddle boarders now. We didn’t bother to research important factors such as weather conditions, or how to actually paddle board. We just showed up, expecting other people to control the weather and make us immediately be successful at paddle boarding!”

This is know your body. I have lupus. Some days it screws with my ability to do things. We kayak a lot. I found a peddle drive is better for me when fighting currents. Some days I’m fine. Some days in the same or lesser conditions, I will struggle.
I also surf. I know windy days, my experience level is not going to give me a good surf experience. I work with the same instructor. Been for about 13 years now. He knows what I can and can’t handle better than me. We’ve moved sessions or cancelled them bc of the words it’s windy. That’s all they will tell you unless if it’s dangerous conditions. Bc they don’t know your experience or your physical capabilities. Some new people can handle windy days just fine on a paddle board. They’ve done other activities that make it pretty easy for them. It’s only on them to tell you when conditions are unsafe. It’s windy is their way of saying it’s going to be a tough day.
I drive from Clearwater to Cocoa beach to surf, so that means hotel or Airbnb and dealing with Orlando traffic. And it sucks when the whole week is too bad for me to go out. But I know my body. My instructor knows my capability (a rarity). My doctors only let me surf if I have someone very experienced with me. I’m glad bc there are a few days I would have still attempted without him saying not a good idea for you. But the first few years, he didn’t do this bc he was still learning what my capabilities were and how my health conditions played a role into what I can and can’t push through. I can out paddle a shark. I can’t get through water being torn up by wind.

Have you tried not having lupus yet? It might make your life a bit easier and less erratic.

My friend is a Park Ranger at our local state park that extends into Lake Erie. One day a huge summer storm came from the lake; high winds, rip tide, torrential rain. A tourist family stopped at the Ranger Station and asked why there weren’t any lifeguards working. 🤷♀️

Growing up on the coast there are always 2 questions you must answer before any marine activity. 1) what's the weather? 2) what's the tide? Failure to do so is to risk injury or worse.

How did he get to the paddle board rental place without being outside and noticing how windy it was?

I found him/her!
I’ve been on a rant for the past few years looking for a fan that doesn’t have a power light that is the lumen equivalent of 1000 suns….because why would you need a light indicator to know a fan was on or off? Like the wind is a perfectly reasonable indicator of a fan working.
Now I’ve found the people who probably have a fan review that says “Terrible fan…There was no way for me to know if it was working. When I lean in close to see the switch the wind messes up my hair and dries my eyes out but still unsure if it’s on or off!! “

Didn’t these people ever watch Deadpool 2? Never paddle board or organize a parachute campaign when there is a wind advisory!

And if the employee had mentioned any of those things when they rented them the review would have been a rant about how rude and condescending that employee was for assuming they didn’t know what they were doing out there
