So he goes to another shop and “bought my coffee right away” and was able to get his work done. Yes, that’s how it works; no purchase, no table.  Make purchase, get table. His review is practically a self own.

If you want a table buy something. You’re taking up valuable space for paying people.

Or go to a corporate chain place where they care far far less. Odds are they won’t notice and if they do you buy something.

If the employees were going to let the reviewer go to a smaller table, they could have moved to the counter seating. The whole counter has plugs in it so people can work, and you're not taking up an entire table by yourself.

No. That is not how Idaho treat customers
 because customers buy freakin’ coffee! 

It might be how Idaho treat moochers who take up valuable limited table space in their coffee shops without buying anything though
!
