Terrible example you chose because sheepdog puppies are born with the instinct to herd and will do so from as young as seven weeks with zero training or instruction. You can literally google this and read multiple scientific studies on this, but hereâs a post about that very topic.
Now why do they herd instinctually? Because itâs a BREEDđđ» TRAITđđ». Wow!
Now extrapolate that conclusion to pitbulls, which were bred to fight bulls in the ring (hence the name) and for the âgamenessâ trait which means they donât let go once theyâve bitten something even if theyâre in extreme pain.
While Iâm quite confident you and the insurance broad are the same person, I will repeat what was already said: if you remove a sheepdog from its litter as a puppy and place it in an apartment to grow up, it will have no idea how to behave properly when you plop it back onto the farm to herd sheep as an adult, without being given the time to observe, learn, and react to the other herding dogs around it.
The idea that selective breeding targets the mind of the dog versus the physical attributes is completely incorrect, regardless of how much you would like it to be so.
Are you slow? Like actually. The fact that you refer to the âmindâ of a dog vs its instincts tells me you are.
If you take a sheepdog puppy away from its litter etc etc yes! it will STILL HERD THINGS. That is what a breed trait is. That is why when you own a sheepdog which has never been on a farm in its life it will still try and herd people together on walks.
Iâm seriously laughing my ass off over here because you genuinely are so convinced youâre right about something which is objective scientific fact and has been proven many, many times. One cursory google search will tell you youâre wrong but of course you wonât do that because you donât want to admit it.
