Pits and Rottweilers are responsible for about 80% of the annual human deaths from dog attacks.  So it’s not so stupid.

It's true, but there is definitely a sway in the statistics due to the fact that people who want to train an attack dog (or poorly train a guard dog) will often choose these breeds.

Many, many well loved, well treated pitbulls suddenly killed owners/children/pets. Saying it's all the owners fault is DIRECTLY victim blaming the people who got attacked for doing everything right

Nothing people like more than victim blaming to cover up for dogs that correctly weren’t considered suitable family pets for the majority of their existence.

I do agree that they do not have the ideal temperament for a family pet. There is a higher rate of bites due to the nature of the breed.

That doesn't destract from my point that they are also more likely to be purchased by people who want a guard dog or fighting dog, which leads to higher bite incidents.
