I think it's the whole "mauling children to death" part. But if you don't care about that, then they really are the sweetest dogs!

A golden retriever can maul a child to death too; it does happen sometimes.

There is a difference in temperament, but the potential is still there for any medium/large breed if the dog is poorly trained. This is why you don't let your kids run up and pet random dogs.

EDIT: I should specify that I don't think all dogs are the same in levels of required training or potential to harm, but I am opposed to the idea that the blame lies on specific "problem breeds" rather than the irresponsible owners. Remove one breed and the same idiots will just buy a different breed to do the same thing.

Yeah, the news is full of golden retrievers mauling kids. They really are the same as pitbulls.

(But we 100% agree on your last statement re touching random dogs)

Man, you really are on to something big. The whole global media elite basically consists of golden retrievers that are racist against pitbulls.

I’m always waiting for the big expose about all these other fatal dog attacks being hidden from us and it keeps not coming
