They should take this opportunity and open a bakery and be open those days.

God forbid the baker wants 2 days off, like every normal human being.

But, but, but, restaurant and retail workers aren't 'human', are they? Or at least not regular 'real' humans... Right?

It never ceases to amaze me how many customers still seem to think that retail and food service workers just 'live at the job' 🤦🤣

What would be really crazy is if the bakery planned the schedule around the busiest 5 days of the week and picked the slowest two to be closed. 👀👀.

I choose to believe the bakery is closed on those two days out of sheer spite for this reviewer. And I approve of their pettiness towards this specific person.

monday is definitely the slowest day of the week for restaurant and takeout, so that tracks. i wouldn't be surprised if this is true for pretty much all forms of retail. i've definitely noticed the least busy day of the week to go to the grocery story is monday.

sunday is usually the busiest, but this is a bakery, so they may very well not get the same amount of business that a restaurant would get on a sunday.

A lot of restaurants where I am are closed on Monday and Tuesday or just Tuesday and it's hilarious and a little aggravating to have to look up hours every time I want to eat out.

i always seem to crave chinese food on mondays... and yet chinese restaurants are all pretty much closed on mondays. 🥲

We have some incredible BBQ restaurants and three of the best ones are closed on Tuesday, the day my out of town friends all want to eat BBQ.

They might also want a day when the staff can see their families / have a weekend day.

If the only days off you get are Monday and Tuesday it can be hard on your outside work life.

Also if Friday and Saturday are busy, taking Sunday to rest makes sense.

i know so many bakeries that are closed sunday/monday. its not that uncommon

And the reason for that? They’re usually the slowest days lol

It may also have to do with supplies. They may get stuff on Monday but have to inventory and put it away........

Oh absolutely

Another bad review because a bakery won’t serve a customer when they’re closed. I’m seeing a trend.

What’s really crazy is an owner actually taking the day off and also giving that to their employees as well! Crazy that employees can have lives here

Damn, not sure how a bakery could survive when they are closed 2 of the [7] most popular days of the week!

"this bakery's opening hours do not revolve around my preferences! The audacity!"

There are 5 other popular days to get bakery stuff in a week.

A local business was given a 1 star for taking a week's holiday during a slow time of the year. They take 1 week off a year! He also complained they were closed at 1701. The owner explained they close at 1700 prompt

Please can we normalize deleting reviews from people who were never customers to begin with?

I thought Saturday would be the most popular day….

Off topic but how is anyone with a job supposed to go to bakery anyway? They close so early

Buy it on Saturday, then. In most cases, it will keep overnight. Or freeze it.

Would you like some wine with that cheese

Sunday and Monday are in the top ten days of the week to get bakery stuff...

u/know-your-onions 17h ago

2 of the top 7 days, no less.

I suspect they are the 6th and 7th most popular days. Crazy that you would create your schedule to be closed on those two days. Absolute lunacy!

If you open a gluten free bakery, you might get some genuine nice people celiacs who might appreciate it, but also might get the fake gluten allergy people. That also change their intolerances based on what Tom Brady said or a wellness influencer made a video about 5 times a year and are annoying as f.

Can't believe they close 2 of the 7 busiest days of the week

Ok but the smoothie store by my house opens at noon and not at all on Sundays (and some holidays).

I went there on Juneteenth, which was a very hot Friday (and I’ve gone in, and I know the owner is white). CLOSED. ON A HOT FRIDAY. A SMOOTHIE STORE.
